Order Repeat Prescriptions
Please note, we do not accept routine or repeat prescription requests by phone except in an emergency or if you are Housebound. You have two options: use the NHS App (see the video below) or fill out an online form.
Other ways of ordering prescriptions
- Email: Send your full name, date of birth, and the medication needed to nclicb.oakwoodprescriptions@nhs.net
- Community Pharmacy: Ask your local pharmacy about their collection and delivery services. They can also request prescriptions for you. Some local chemists offer a delivery service for housebound patients. Ask at reception for details of the local chemists.
- Processing Time: within 3 full working days (excluding weekends and holidays).
- Please note patients are to take responsibility to request medication and not allow themselves to run short, if 3 working days are not given to us to process your prescription, it will only be processed earlier at the doctors’ discretion. You may have to wait 3 working days if the doctor feels it is not urgent.
- Urgent Prescriptions: Request repeat medication in advance. For urgent needs, call the practice.

Picking up your prescriptions from your chosen pharmacy
- Prescriptions: All prescriptions are sent electronically to the pharmacy you choose.
- Choose Your Pharmacy: Use the NHS App to pick your pharmacy, or let us know which one you want.
- Find a Pharmacy: Visit NHS Find a Pharmacy to find a pharmacy near you.
