Types of appointments
Routine Appointments
- If you are registered for online services you can book online or via the app. Online bookings are available for routine appointments with the GP only. All other appointment types will need to be booked in person or via the phone.
- Keep us updated with your mobile phone number so we can send you text message reminders of your appointments.
- We offer routine appointments bookable upto Six weeks in advance for both GP and Nurses.
Urgent Appointments
- If you feel you need to be seen on the day, we do have book on the day appointments available (these appointments are generally if you are unable to wait for the next available routine appointment). If you feel it necessary to request a same-day appointment please contact the practice at 8am.
Extended hours bookings
We work closely with the Enfield HUB service to offer some appointments to our patients outside of our core hours. These appointments are available with a clinician at the practice but will be booked via the Enfield HUB. Please note that the HUB will need to access your registration details to arrange a booking. If you have any concerns or would like more information, please speak to a member of our team before arranging a booking.
There are some urgent appointments available through the Enfield Unity Extended Access Services based at Eagle House and Carlton House sites between 6:30pm to 8pm weekdays, 9am- 8pm Saturdays and 8am-8pm on Sundays and bank holidays. To book, rearrange or cancel these appointments when we are closed, please call 0208 370 4910. Lines are open 6.30pm-8pm weekdays and 9-5pm on Saturday. For anything urgent call 111 – call 999 in an emergency.
Double appointments
Please book one appointment for each family member who needs to be seen and a double appointment if you have difficulty hearing or need an interpreter. If you think you may take a long time please make a double appointment as a general 10-minute appointment may not be enough time.
Double appointments are required for 6 week checks following the birth.
Home visits services
We understand that some patients may be housebound and unable to visit the practice. We encourage patients to come to the practice when possible. It lets us access a wide range of medical equipment. But, we do offer home visits for those who truly require it, at doctors discretion.
If you need a home visit, call the practice directly. The doctor will call you for a telephone assessment before the visit.
How to change or cancel your appointment
You will have to call the practice to change your appointment. Telephones are not in operation during extended hours.
Please inform us as soon as possible if you’re unable to attend or will be late for your appointment. This helps us offer the slot to another patient in urgent need. You can cancel, reschedule, or use the NHS App via the provided link.
Other ways of booking your appointment
Telephone: Our reception team will assist you over the phone and help arrange your appointment. When speaking with reception, kindly provide as much detail as possible, as this will help the doctor address your concerns more effectively.
Please listen to the options carefully and using your telephone keypad choose one of the following:
- Appointments press 1
- Results (between 2-4 pm) press 3
- All other enquiries after 10 am press 4
We do not offer telephone advice , however telephone consultations are available on request.
For follow-up appointments, try to book in advance with the same doctor for better care.
Walk-In appointment enquiries are also acceptable.
Chaperone and Interpreters for non-English speakers
We can arrange interpreters for non-English speakers or sign language users. Let reception know if you need one.
If you need a chaperone for your exam, ask, and we will provide one.
When you arrive, use the patient touch screen to check in and avoid waiting in line. Instructions are available in the reception area.
Prolonged Waiting Times
Patients will be seen usually within 20 minutes of the appointment time. An apology and an explanation will be given when there is likely to be a long delay. However, If you arrive more than 10 minutes late for an appointment, you will be seen at the clinicians discretion and may need to wait further due to patients who have arrived on time taking precedence.
